Now that Elon Musk owns Twitter, I felt that it’s time to give Mastodon another try and provide an alternative for people in the Anime Blogosphere and Anime fans alike an alternative for Twitter. Sakurajima (桜島), is a Mastodon instance which focuses on Japanese media, but you can discuss anything as long it doesn’t break the rules.
Note that with Mastodon, you are able to follow accounts on other instances. Note that we reserve the right to disallow follows and rerooting toots that violate the server rules. On this blog, we will post updates regarding the instance.
If you have a self-hosted WordPress blog, you can toot your blog posts automatically when you publish a post. You can do so with this plugin.
If you are still on the fence about abandoning Twitter or using an account here if things get worse, you can crosspost using this service.
